JBL announces its new line up of high-end loudspeakers called as LS Series. The LS Series includes a compact LS40 bookshelf loudspeaker, LS60 and LS80 floorstanding tower speakers and a dedicated center channel loudspeaker LS CENTER. The new speakers claims to deliver extraordinary sound quality and sports an elegant appearance with exceptionally crafted stunning high-gloss finish.

The LS Series loudspeakers are a combination of advanced compression drivers with dynamic drivers which helps deliver the best sonic qualities. The loudspeakers feature a 176ND high-frequency compression driver that includes a 2-inch pure-titanium diaphragm with a special diamond-patterned surround. The 176ND offers high-efficiency neodymium-iron-boron magnet and aluminum edge-wound voice coil.

The JBL LS Series 015M ultrahigh-frequency driver has a 3/4-inch ring-radiator design and incorporates a low-mass polyimide diaphragm providing maximum sonic purity and frequency extension beyond 40kHz.

The LS Series equip woofers that utilize proprietary PolyPlas polymer-coated-cellulose-fiber cone material for articulate and powerful bass. The woofers also incorporate a cast-aluminum frame and an oversized voice coil with a Kapton former that efficiently dissipates heat under extreme operating conditions.

The LS80 and LS60 feature a unique 3-1/2-way crossover network allowing the woofers to operate in several frequency ranges. LS Series loudspeakers are manufactured from the finest material and internal components.

The compact LS40 delivers dynamic and expansive sound while the LS60 and LS80 have a slim profile that lets them effortlessly fit into any décor. The LS CENTER can be placed near your TV set in an entertainment cabinet as well as on a shelf.

The LS Series loudspeakers are expected to range from $999 (approx Rs. 44,620) to $1,999 (approx Rs. 89,285) each and will be available in fall 2008.
