It may look like a Shuffle, but the Fiio E5 isn’t even a PMP.  In actual fact it’s a clip-on headphone amplifier, intended to boost volume from your favorite media player and drive higher impedance cans than might normally work.  With an Apple-style clip, the E5 measures just 44 x 38 x 12.2mm but boasts 150mW (at 16?; or 12MW to 300?) power output with under 0.009-percent distortion at 10mW.
That makes it 30-percent more powerful than its E3 predecessor, despite only being 26g and having a rechargeable battery good for 20hrs use.

Creative’s Vado pocket cam hasn’t been nearly as popular as the various Flips or the Kodak Zi6, but it looks like the company is taking another shot at it — hot on the heels of the Flip Mino HD’s introduction, we’re seeing hints that a Vado HD is on the way as well. All we know so far is the S$299 (US$195) pricetag printed in Creative’s Singapore holiday catalog, but the short HD videos posted by a user named “Vado” on Vimeo look nice enough. Psystar’s counterclaim against Apple was just dismissed by a California district judge, which means that Psystar is back on the defensive. According to Psystar, Apple’s operating system is an independent market with no competitors, but that was too weak to be upheld in court.
