Apple iPhone 3G To Reach Turkey By Turkcell

A month back, there was marathon of iPhone 3G launches taking pace all over the world. Apple iPhone had still not reached a few countries, now mobile service provider Turkcell announces that it has inked an agreement with Apple to launch the iPhone 3G in Turkey.
The iPhone 3G will be available in the country in both prepaid and post-paid plans.
Apart from 3G capability, iPhone 3G comes equipped with GPS for expanded location-based mobile services, support for iPhone 2.0 software, which includes support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, and ability to run hundreds of third party applications available through the new App Store.
Speaking about the new agreement, Lale Saral Develioglu, Turkcell’s chief marketing officer, commented, “We’re very excited to be working with Apple to bring the iPhone 3G to Turkey. iPhone 3G represents the ultimate in mobile device technologies, and we can’t wait to offer this innovative product to millions of mobile customers later this year.”
The official release date is still a mystery. Nevertheless, the price and tariff plans are available on the Turkcell website.
