Alltel Gets LG Rhythm Phone

LG and Alltel announced yesterday that Alltel was getting a version of the LG Rhythm phone. The music-enabled handset has some nice features for music fans. The most interesting is the built-in FM Transmitter so users can hear their tracks on any FM radio within ten feet.
The handset also has a 3.5mm stereo headphone headset and mic that toggles between music and phone calls automatically. The handset has 120MB of internal memory and that can be expanded via microSD card slots. The main LCD is a 2-inch unit and the phone has a 1.3MP camera with zoom and video recording function. The handset will retail for $119.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2-year agreement.
“The LG Rhythm is a great option for consumers who are looking for a multi-faceted music phone with premium sound,” said Ehtisham Rabbani, vice president of product strategy & marketing for LG Mobile Phones. “There is no question that consumers crave more out of their mobile devices and LG continues to bring the features and functions that truly enhance their mobile lives.”
