ASUS 22T1E Review

It is hard to define exactly what ASUS 22T1E is: monitor or TV? It has 21.5inch panel that can display Full HD resolution (1080p). Because of this feature we can categorize this model as monitor since there are just few other TV models that have such resolution/size ratio. On the other side, if we take a look at other features such as numerous audio and video connectors it is clear that this is TV model. Our impression is that primary function of ASUS 2T1E is TV receiver so we will treat it as such.

So, ASUS 22T1E TV set has analog and digital DVB-T tuner. Although digital TV signal is not standard option in all counties around the world, and you could say that it is obsolete feature that increases the final price, it is actually good investment for the future. More and more countries adopt digital TV signal, and analog TV signal is becoming obsolete. So, analog TV sets will become useless, or, you will need to purchase set-top-box that will convert digital to analog signal. Such devices can  cost around 50-70€. With ASUS 22T1E similar problems are avoided since it has both, analog and digital, tuner types.
