Asus S101 To Rival The Macbook Air

If you have always been hankering after the MacBook Air but do not have the budget for it, here’s an alternative - the Asus S101. This amazingly slim notebook won’t cause you to dig into your kids’ college savings, and measures a mere 0.7″ thin with the following specifications :-
* Intel Atom processor
* 1GB RAM
* 10.2″ LED screen at WSVGA (1,024 x 600) resolution
* 802.11n connectivity
* Ethernet port
* Bluetooth support
* Multitouch trackpad
* 4-in-1 memory card reader
* SSD option
* 20GB of free online storage
Strangely enough, Asus has taken the same route as Apple by including a non-replaceable, 5-hour polymer battery. What gives? The 16GB SSD model running on Windows XP will retail for $699, as with the 32GB SSD and Linux-powered machine, while the 64GB Linux S101 will cost an additional $100.
