Alienware Jumps On The 4870 X2 Wagon

This has been in the works for weeks: Alienware has just announced that customers can now opt for the AMD 4870 X2 graphics card in Alienware’s Area-51, Area-51 ALX and Aurora desktop PCs. If you missed it, AMD just claimed the graphics performance crown yesterday, and computer vendors are more than happy to help: they can sell a high-performance product that could even boost their margins a bit and at the same time, they put pressure on NVIDIA add-in board partners to get better pricing. There’s nothing like vendor balancing… and consumers win.
