Sony Announces Two New Digital Photo Frames
Today at the PhotoPlus Expo Trade show in New York City, Sony announced two new additions to its S-Frame digital photo-frame lineup: the DPF-D100 and DPF-D80.
Both frames have SVGA (800 by 600) LCD screens and are Sony’s first digital photo frames with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The 10-inch DPF-D100 ($280 direct) and the 8-inch DPF-D80 ($180 direct) feature advanced imaging processing that allows them to display images of up to 48-megapixels or files as large as 100MB. The frames themselves have only 200MB of onboard memory but can support a wide variety of Flash memory types, including Memory Stick PRO, Memory Stick PRO Duo, SD Memory Card, MMC, Compact Flash, Microdrive, and xD-Picture Card.
