Compro Vista U890f Usb Tv Stick Reviewed
When you are stuffed into cramped quarters, there’s a good chance that your computer also has to pull double duty as your television. Naturally, not all computers come with a built-in TV tuner, so you may have to consider external options like the recently released COMPRO Vista U890F TV Stick.

LG Dvs450h Dvd Player Reviewed
After casting our eye over the outrageously stylish Samsung DVD-F1080 recently, we didn’t think DVD players could get any more desirable - but then along came this stunning LG deck to prove us wrong.
The DVS450H is what LG calls a floating DVD player, but after searching in vain for some sort of jet pack or David Blaine style levitation trickery we realised to our disappointment that it only looks like it’s floating, and only when you wall mount it. Sigh.
Neuros Introduces Neuros Link For Web Videos
The latest from Neuros is the Neuros LINK, which will let you watch videos from places like Hulu, YouTube and the like on your TV, subscription free, through courtesy of their own TV service. However, the LINK doesn’t appear to have any internal storage. It does boast six USB ports so you can attach your own drives that have photos, video or music. You’ll also get HDMI and optical S/PDIF outputs, a gigabit ethernet, 802.11b/g WiFi, and an included wireless “keymote” with trackball. The device is available now for $300, but it’s still in a “gamma release,” so early adopters can get one in exchange for a few bugs.

Wal-Mart To Offer A Highly Rated Blu-Ray Player For $128 On Black Friday
Still on the fence about Blu-ray? The upcoming holiday season might be the perfect time to jump. Wal-Mart plans to offer a Magnavox NB500MG9 Blu-ray player for the rock-bottom price of $128, the cheapest we’ve seen yet. That’s a great deal, considering that this model retails for $260 and usually sells at Wal-Mart for $198. Sure beats those $500 players we’ve seen recently.
Get this: Even though it’s dirt cheap, the Magnavox MB500MG9 (built by Funai) is a damn good Blu-ray player. In fact, Consumer Reports gave it an overall score of 87 in its latest (December 08) “Best Electronics” issue, a mere one point below the top-rated Sylvania NB500SL9 Blu-ray player (probably the same player, also built by Funai).

Dvdo Iscan Vp50pro Video Processor Reviewed
If you’re of a technically or financially fragile disposition, you might want to look away now. For the DVDO VP50Pro is a video processor clearly designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts, with a £2,250 price tag that makes it probably only truly affordable to the sort of person prone to spending £10k-£15k on a serious home cinema installation. Vudu Rolls Out Vudu Xl2, The Fanciest Hd Video Streaming Box In The World
Looks like Vudu might survive after all. The Internet streaming box that we’ve grown to love just got a big brother, the Vudu XL2. It’s wide enough to mount on a professional rack, but its innards are similar to the latest Vudu XL — meaning that there’s a honking terabyte-sized drive inside for storing plenty of HD movies.
This pricier Vudu is only available via home theater installers, those glorified cable TV guys who have a reputation for charging double for everything — and their customers inexplicably like it that way. We paupers like the look of this $1300 premium box, but for our tastes, we’ll stay with our $300 (and on sale, $200) Vudu that fits nicely alongside an Apple TV and Roku Netflix box, all three on the same shelf.

Humax Players Become Silent Operators
At long last, those who own Humax’s PVR-9150T and PVR-9300T digital TV recorders are able to view their favorite programs in peace with the latest software fix from Humax that will do away with the fan noise. It is well known that both the 9150T and 9300T are plagued by fan noise during operation, so good thing the new Smart Fan Control software will kick in those fans as and when it is deemed necessary.

Itv Catch-Up Service Coming To Bt Vision
ITV’s online TV catch-up service may not grab the attention the show pre-booking BBC iPlayer manages, but it, too, is gradually improving over time. Take its forthcoming progression onto BT Vision, for example, joining extant offerings from Channel 4, Five and of course the BBC.
For ITV it may marks the first deal with a third-party content provider, but compared to its rivals, ITV is playing catch-up (if you’ll forgive the pun) ever so slightly. Considering BT Vision only has around 340,000 subscribers anyway, it’s not as if a significant proportion of the viewing public is going to benefit from the deal. And I can’t say I think the deal will help with BT’s plans to bolster its user base to some two to three million users by 2012.
