      Samsung 2gb Ddr3 Solutions Certified By Intel For Core I7 Pc Platform

Samsung announced today that two Samsung 2-gigabit DDR3 solutions have been validated by Intel to work with its new Core i7 (Nehalem) PC platform. The 2 GB DDR3 devices that have passed Intel’s validation program are Samsung DDR3 SDRAM chip (x8) and 4 GB 1066Mbps DDR3 module for desktop PCs. The newly validated Samsung DDR3 solutions are based on advanced 50 nanometer (nm) class technology and 2Gb memory components developed last September. By utilizing 50nm-class technology, Samsung’s 2GB DDR3 modules can consume considerably less power than conventional 1GB DDR3 modules, up to a maximum of 40 percent less at 1333Mbps.
